Software Analysis

Computer-aided engineering (CAE) is the broad usage of computer software to aid in engineering tasks. It includes computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided analysis (CAA), computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), material requirements planning (MRP), and computer-aided planning (CAP).

Dagani Engineering specialized in the use of CAE tools for the optimization of product performance. For different applications, the renowned software packages are used, eg. CATIAV5, Fluent, Abaqus, Mathlab, Simulink...

CAE areas covered include:

  • Stress analysis on components and assemblies using FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
  • Thermal and fluid flow analysis Computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Kinematics.
  • Mechanical event simulation (MES).

Except on demand of the client, in general, there are three phases in any computer-aided engineering task:

  • Pre-processing – defining the model and environmental factors to be applied to it.
  • Analysis solver
  • Post-processing of results (using visualization tools)

This cycle is iterated, often many times, either manually or with the use of commercial optimization software.

Depending on client demand, he will receive a performance analysis ranging from a few visualizations till a detailed report with facts and figures.
