In 2008 Martens, a company manufacturing all kind concrete parts and blocks, gave us the opportunity to build a 20m long bridge. We won the contest with 16.8 tons, earning the price money of 30.000€.
For the second competition, we were invited as privileged participants defending our title. The contest will be held on 23 and 24 April 2009.
Rules have changed, as now the winning team will be the one with the highest weight over cost ratio. Without wanting to expand too much on the new design, the picture given below shows our newly aimed construction.
The bridge-building event knew an incredible suspense, with every time new winners and stronger bridges. Multiple articles have been written (in Dutch) and tell the story.

In the end we won again the competition with a bridge which didn’t want to undergo destruction.
